How Much Does a Bike Service Cost in Perth?

Straight answers on what a bike service costs in Perth, what's included at each price, and when parts are extra. No surprises.

What's included in a Standard Service ($149)

  • Drivetrain clean and lube: chain, cassette, chainrings and derailleurs
  • Gear indexing and adjustment
  • Brake inspection and adjustment, with a pad check
  • Wheel truing and spoke tension check
  • Tyre and tube inspection, inflated to the right pressure
  • Bolt torque and safety check across the whole bike

This suits most bikes that are riding okay but haven't been looked at in six months or more.

What's included in an E-Bike Service ($179)

E-bikes get everything above, plus:

  • Motor and battery condition check
  • Firmware check and updates where available (we have access to Bosch diagnostic software)
  • Wiring and connector inspection
  • Extra attention to brakes and chain, which wear faster on heavier e-bikes

What costs extra?

The service price covers our labour and travel within our usual area. Parts are extra, things like a new chain, brake pads, tubes, tyres or cables. If we find something worn out, we tell you what it is, show you, and give you the price before we fit anything. You decide. Nothing gets added to the bill without your OK.

For call-outs well outside our usual area, there may be a small travel surcharge. We'll tell you when you book.

Is a mobile service more expensive than a bike shop?

Not usually, once you count the real cost. With a shop you're loading the bike into the car, driving there, often leaving it for a few days, then driving back to collect it. We come to you and most services are done in about an hour while you get on with your day. For e-bikes, which are heavy and awkward to transport, it's an even easier call.

Which one do I need?

  • Bike's riding fine but overdue for a service? Standard Service ($149).
  • It's an e-bike? E-Bike Service ($179).
  • Something's wrong and you're not sure what? Call-out and check-up ($99). We'll diagnose it and quote before doing more.
  • Several bikes in the family? Ask about the Family Bike Package.
